Khan: Brook is a step down for me, but I have to give this to the UK fans!

Amir Khan believes his domestic rival Kell Brook is bitter about his success.

The two former world champions have been feuding for years, but they will finally settle their differences on February 19 in Manchester, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Khan explained that their rivalry first started due to his achievements.

“What I’ve accomplished in the sport. The name I’ve got. You can see how bitter he is. My celebrity status? It comes because of what I’ve achieved in the sport. boxing sport. Not because of other things,” Khan told Sky Sports.

“I’ve had great performances, won world titles, made a name for myself in the US. It all started with boxing. How can you hate that? I took advantage of what I was. did in boxing. He hates it. He can hate me as much as he wants.

In Khan’s opinion, Sheffield’s Brook is not at his level and that will be the main difference in teamfights.

He considers his own record to be vastly superior when compared to Brook’s.

“This is a step down for me. I go into this fight going down a couple of levels. There are bigger names, tougher fights. But I have to give this to the England fans. So I had to give up Khan said.

Khan has been out of the ring since July 2019, when he easily stopped Billy Dib. Brook saw the action in November 2020, when he lost a knockout to WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.–162401 Khan: Brook is a step down for me, but I have to give this to the UK fans!
