Kent State Predictions and Odds vs. Toledo (Start your betting day with Rockets at home)

The Toledo Rockets look to have a slight lead on the MAC top tonight as they host Kent State Golden Flashing with an early tip at 6pm ET from Savage Arena.

Kent State have won six straight games, but fell short of Akron in their most recent outing. Meanwhile, Toledo have won two losses after having their nine-game winning streak recorded on February 4 against Ball State.

Here are the latest odds at WynnBET Sportsbook:

145.5 (OVER -110 | BELOW -110)

If you’re going to side with Toledo, it’s inevitable that they’ll cover up. They haven’t played a close game in over a month, winning three against Ball State. Every other game has been a win by eight points or more in seven of their last eight.

While both teams are at or near the top of the MAC standings, this is a much larger disparity for Kent State and the odds reflect that.

Toledo is 68th nationally compared to KenPom, 92 ahead of Kent State. They attack extremely effectively, ranking first in the conference and 31st in the country. They’re also an stellar free-throw team, placing eighth in college basketball with a 79% hit for the season.

While Kent State are actually facing off well based on their defensive stats in the conference (2nd for defensive effectiveness and 3rd for effective goal-on-field ratio), the numbers turn out to be interesting. better when compared to every team in the country (111th in defensive effectiveness, 114th in effective FG%). Golden Flashing will need everything on their defense if they plan to slow down one of the better offenses in the college jumps.

Rockets are one of the better teams than this season, They’ve hit 75% ATS, 18-6-0 record against ATS+/- of 5.2 last TeamRankings with an average win rate of 12.3 points. I’m buying them to cruise and include 8.5 at home easily.

TILT: Toledo -8.5 (-110)
