Kendrick Nunn is not out yet for Los Angeles Lakers since signing with the team as a free agent last summer. The 26-year-old is still recovering from a long-standing knee injury and at this point, there is no firm timetable for a return to action.
Earlier in the week, the Lakers provided a update on Nunn’s road to recovery and unfortunately, there isn’t any good news. Coach Frank Vogel said that Nunn was not responding well to the increased training and that his debut was further delayed. LA originally hoped that the 6-foot-2 guard would be able to appear in court before the February trade deadline, but now it looks like this may not be the case.
There’s no denying that Lakers fans are starting to get frustrated with Nunn’s current situation. Turns out, Nunn herself could say the same. Before Miami Heat The guard has recently arrived Twitter to show his current status while offering a bold promise to the Laker Nation:
Lake Show I promise I want to be out there helping my team. Please be patient with me. This process is also frustrating for me. I’ll be back as soon as I’m healthy! It will be worth the wait
– Kendrick Nunn (@nunnbetter_) January 21, 2022
At the moment, no one can predict when Kendrick Nunn will be able to return to work. Even the Lakers organization doesn’t seem to know when this will happen. However, Nunn has promised he will be “worth the wait.” He’d better deliver on his promise when he’s ready because the Lakers clearly need all the help they can get right now.
