Kaley Cuoco directs thriller Based on a True Story at Peacock

Kaley Cuoco has been cast by Craig Rosenberg in Peacock’s upcoming comedic thriller series Based on a True Story.

Inspired by a true story, “Based on a True Story” follows a real estate agent, a plumber and a former tennis star whose lives unexpectedly collide, exposing America’s obsession with true crime, murder and the slowly closing toilet seat.

Cuoco will play a married woman named Ava Bartlett. All other details are being kept under wraps.

Rosenberg serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner. Aggregate Films’ Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan will also executive produce, with Aggregate’s Roxie Rodriguez serving as co-executive producer. UCP will serve as the studio.
