Multiple Grand Slam winner Viktoria Azarenka hasn’t been in her prime for the last few years. The former world No. 1 from Belarus is currently active on tour and has been doing well lately. But during her third-round match at the Miami Open, she had a rather unusual brainfade moment. She lost the match to 16-year-old Czech Linda Fruhvirtova and left mid-match despite the referee’s appeal. She eventually lost the match 2-6,0-3 and later issued a statement apologizing for her actions.

Azarenka was visibly frustrated throughout the game and it is speculated that she is suffering from some personal issues. She even deleted her social media accounts a few weeks ago. Vika seemed increasingly frustrated as the game progressed and could be heard yelling and asking at her coaching box “Why I’m here?”

And when she lost the third game of the second set, Vika informed the referee and, after shaking hands with Fruhvirtova, stormed off the field. “Vika, we have to wait”, The referee could be heard shouting Azarenka but the 32-year-old stormed off after just 45 minutes.
