JuJu Smith-Schuster, the mayor of Kansas City, said that TikTok’s partnership with Jackson Mahomes won’t happen.
Before Tyreek Hill, the Kansas City Chiefs’ widely recognized commercial star, the team signed former Pittsburgh Steeler JuJu Smith-Schuster to add to the team’s forward line. Shortly after the signing, Jackson Mahomes said that “now we have to work together” on a TikTok video.
In an interview with Taylor Bisciotti, Smith-Schuster said that a TikTok collaboration with Mahomes is “not happening”.

So there you have it, a partnership with Smith-Schuster and defender Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother isn’t going to happen. While a collaboration didn’t take place, Smith-Schuster posted a TikTok wearing his brand new No. 9 Captain’s jersey.
Smith-Schuster signed the Chiefs, who were interested in him last season, to a one-year, $3.25 million deal. After signing a one-year contract to stay at the Steelers, Smith-Schuster has been limited to just five regular games of the season due to a shoulder injury. He came back in Pittsburgh’s Wild Card Round game against Kansas City in a losing attempt.
That year, Smith-Schuster caught 15 129-meter passes in the regular season and five 26-meter passes in the Wild Card Round.
With Hill no longer on the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster should see targets from Mahomes increase in the last attack. The team signed former Packers, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, to a three-year contract and earned an extra first pick in the Hill trade, which was most likely used on the receiver in the NFL Draft. Either way, Smith-Schuster is going to have a great season with Kansas City.
