Judge Rosa Mroz died after the driver stole her: Police

According to police in Phoenix, Arizona, a judge succumbed to her injuries after a driver hit her while running a red light. Rosa MrozPolice announced that the 56-year-old Maricopa County man died Saturday.
She initially survived Wednesday’s incident.
“On February 2, 2022, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Phoenix Police responded to a serious vehicle collision in area 56order Streets and Camelback Road,” police said earlier. “Officers learned that an adult woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a black Hyundai. The woman walking was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene.”
Preliminary information shows the driver of the Hyundai did not stop at a red light, officials said Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing.
Police did not identify the driver.
Sgt. Philip Krynsky told Law & Crime on Sunday he had no more information to provide.

“So sad to hear that Rosa Mroz has passed away,” Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs speak Saturday afternoon. “While many people know her as Judge Mroz, I remember her as a scout mother on my son’s Boy Scouts. Her family was instrumental in helping him achieve his Eagle Scout rank. Keep her family and colleagues in my thoughts.”
Government of Arizona Doug Ducey ordered flags at staff buildings to be lowered to half a foot on Monday.
