Jimmy Kimmel Calls Out Spider-Man: No Way Home Best Picture Snub

“Spider-Man” star Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange, was nominated in the Best Actor category for Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, while Garfield also won Male. Best Actor in “Tick, Tick…” by Lin-Manuel Miranda BOM. “Both movies are Netflix releases.

Co-star JK Simmons, who has played J. Jonah Jameson through various “Spider-Man” universes, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in “Being the Ricardos”.

Christopher Nolan’s DC Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” was also eliminated for Best Picture in 2008, leading the Academy to expand the Best Picture category from five to 10 nominations.

Marvel also confirmed yes another “Spider-Man” sequel in works starring Holland.
