Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler seemingly unshakable late injury error.
The Heat superstar returned to action against the Memphis Grizzlies after missing four games with a tailbone injury only to reoccur it in a 105-90 loss on Monday night.
Butler reinvigorated himself in the first quarter driving to the basket and landing on his back in the tailbone area.
Heat coach Eric Spoelstra talked about it after the game via ESPN.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said after the game: “He made contact and was shoved and landed on his tailbone again. “There can’t be a worst-case scenario for us at the start of the game. It is a contact sport. It was an unpredictable thing. Offensive to the injury, we didn’t get a call about that either.
“But he certainly replayed it and made it worse. From that point on, you can tell he’s not your normal self. So we will re-evaluate him [Tuesday] and see where we are. “
Butler returned to the game after the fall but ended up leaving the field well into the third inning with 10 points.
The team will hold Butler in Wednesday’s home game against NBA champion the Milwaukee Bucks.
Butler’s injury is just the latest in a long list of players either sidelined or out of action.
