Jim Jordan lashes out at FBI, Wray Needs Director explains ‘Pattern of mismanagement and mismanagement’

Representative Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) assigned the task to the FBI in a letter to Director Chris Wray this week in which he asked for an explanation of the “pattern of misconduct and mismanagement.” ” was revealed during a recent audit of the office.

Jordan and several other GOP representatives sent a letter to Wray on Monday requesting more information about the 2019 audit, following a recent report that said the audit found the FBI “violated agency rules at least 747 times in 18 months while conducting investigations involving politicians, candidates, religious groups, news media and others. ”

“This internal audit and the staggering amount of flaws it uncovered reveal a pattern of misconduct and mismanagement within the FBI in its failure to comply with internal rules for sensitive cases. My best feelings,” the letter read.

“This internal review found the FBI systematically failed to follow its own rules and procedures,” the letter continued.

“This is the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a division of the Department of Justice, not following their own rules,” Jordan said in a Fox News interview. “And oh, by the way, I didn’t even mention that just a few months ago we had a whistleblower come first, and he was talking about an email he received from the FBI, sent to FBI agents across the country say ‘Let’s label this mom and dad’ … the total terror concern in this country that Merrick Garland says didn’t happen but it certainly does appear to be. This is the same agency.”

“When you put all of this together, this is why we are concerned and we would like to see that audit in its unedited form,” Jordan continued.

The FBI reportedly said it conducted the 2019 audit because it “takes compliance very seriously, especially when it comes to sensitive investigative matters.”

“While the amount of deviations from the FBI’s approval requirements, notices, and governance noted in the report is unacceptable, we have already begun making significant changes to our training. and raise awareness even before the report is issued, and we remain committed to ensuring all employees comply, an FBI official told Newsweek.
