Jesse Williams calls second emergency hearing, accuses ex-wife of blocking access to children

Jessie Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Leehave been going back and forth in court over custody of their daughter, sadie8, and son, Maceo6. The couple separated in 2017 and finalized their divorce in 2020. Since then there have been arguments about the children.
The former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star recently received a permanent child support cut of more than $30,000 after leaving the ABC series. He left the show in October 2021 and months later began rehearsals for the Broadway play Take Me Out. The children are court-ordered to visit him regularly in New York, and Williams wants it to stay that way.

In court documents obtained by RadarOnline, he filed his second motion for a summary hearing. The first emergency hearing was filed back in June, alleging that Drake-Lee had “blocked, interfered with or interfered with his regular time in prison”. This time, he specifically wants to make sure that “the kids and I don’t lose our precious care time together while I work on ‘Take Me Out.'”

The ‘Station 19’ actor has agreed to appear in the second edition of the Broadway play, which runs between early October 2022 and January 2023. He wants to make sure he sees his kids for days every month because of his performance schedule.

Williams claims his children’s mother “refused” to honor her previous custody agreement, which grants him four consecutive days a month in New York, two of which will be weekend days. “I have asked Aryn to honor the court’s prior order so that I can continue to spend quality time with our children while I am in New York. Aryn declined,” said the 41-year-old.

He added, “Aryn’s habitual violation of his long-standing court order not only hurts the children, but admittedly, it hurts me, too.”

Williams and Lee were together for 13 years and married for five years before splitting in 2017. Years of court battles over custody and finances delayed their divorce until finalized in 2020, as previously reported. She was granted the family home in Los Angeles, and both parents were granted joint custody and co-parenting classes in March.

After Williams filed the first application in June, Drake-Lee accused her ex-husband of “bullying, harassing me and throwing tantrums” when things don’t go his way after a dispute over the passport ensued her son had come. She also raised concerns about the children’s safety due to Williams’ “unexpected behavior,” including threats and other intimidation tactics.
