Jesse Lingard left Manchester United as a free agent this summer in search of regular football playing time. Something the Red Devils have not been able to offer the athlete in the last 2 years.
Lingard has attracted interest from several clubs across England and Europe but is yet to decide on his next destination. While Newcastle United and West Ham are said to be in the running, newly promoted club Nottingham Forest are leading the pack to sign the 29-year-old.

Nottingham Forest are looking to sign Jesse Lingard from West Ham
David Moyes is one of Jesse Lingard’s biggest fans. The England international enjoyed a resurgent half-season with the manager when he joined West Ham on a 6-month loan in 2021.
During that time, Jesse Lingard recorded 9 goals and 4 assists in 16 Premier League games for the Hammers. He was so good that West Ham were willing to sign him on a permanent basis but were unable to agree a fee with Manchester United.
Now that the player is available for free, West Ham could lose him to newly promoted Nottingham Forest as they look to bolster their squad. Lingard itself has several options to choose from.
The ex-Manchester United man also received lucrative offers from Saudi and MLS but wanted to stay in Europe and the Premier League in particular for the time being. Furthermore, reports suggest Jesse Lingard will decide his next club no later than July 24 and Nottingham appears to be the intended destination for the player.
