Jeff Hardy’s Recent Video, WWE Knows He Can Sign With AEW

In the latest Wrestling Observer Bulletin, Dave Meltzer Note that, according to WWE sources, Jeff Hardy was asked to go to rehab following the incident at Saturday’s performance and Hardy was fully aware that if he refused then WWE would have to act. So he knew he would probably get fired or suspended.

Meltzer noted that it was later decided to let him go instead of suspending him and that he was given 90 days out, so if he plans to wrestle again he can do as so on March 9th when he became a freelance agent.

If Hardy is affected, WWE has no choice but to let him go to rehab for his achievements. The Observer noted that WWE did this with the full knowledge that Hardy could end up at AEW, where he would likely be a big star there. It’s also important to note that both Matt and Jeff have expressed their desire to collaborate again before they end their careers in the ring. There’s no guarantee that AEW will hire Jeff, but they’ll have a chance to review everything in March.

Hardy has been scheduled for a match against Madcap Moss tonight on WWE SmackDown but that is clearly not going to happen and they will have to change the creative direction for Moss and Happy Corbin.

Sean Waltman recently had this to say about rehab, in light of Hardy’s situation: “It’s not every relapse that is the reason for a patient to quit. My best recovery came years after I did my third rehab and had a full relapse. I got out of it on my own with the help of evidence-based treatments and a hypnotherapist. While I am grateful to them, the detox industry is also a huge racket.”

Hardy has dealt with personal issues through his previous competitions in WWE and while he was at TNA/Impact Wrestling. During his recent WWE stint, he was arrested on July 13, 2019 for public intoxication and on October 3, 2019 for a DUI.

For what it’s worth, the video posted below taken by a fan appears to show Jeff Hardy in agony as he walks into the ring for his match on Saturday but nothing in the video for see him being affected as some speculate . As noted earlier, fans at the show did note that he looked lethargic during the six-man card match but others didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary until he left the match. fight.
