Jason Tartick and Michael Allio chatted on the Trading Secrets podcast and seemed to have bonded over their mutual heartbreak.

“Everything passes at some point – the good times, but also the bad times. Be gentle with yourself and respect them, appreciate them and welcome them for what they offer you in the moment,” explained Allio Tartick. “Give me the joy and give me the pain, because all of that is better than the feeling of being numb, for example, walking around like a zombie and not feeling anything. I would rather be in excruciating pain than just be numb.”

To which Tartick responded, “That’s so true…You’re so right.”

“It’s a strange situation. I’ve even told you – and other friends and so on – that this breakup is just a small drop in the bucket compared to what you’ve been through, but I’ve cried more than this in the last month or two I ever have in my life,” he continued.

“But there is some truth in feeling that emotion; It makes you feel connected and alive,” he added. “You feel like, ‘Okay, I know where I am, I feel myself, I connect and I move on.’

The former “Bachelorette” contestant also spoke about his split from Bristowe in late August. “Kaitlyn [Bristowe] “I was in LA for work this week, so I was lucky enough to have the boys with me and it was just a real blessing,” he says, referring to their dogs Ramen and Pinot.

He continued: “I just think about that time and honestly we talk a lot here about careers and money and that’s a big foundation for our lives, but it just comes down to relationships, friendships and the people close to us. “You. And even though Ramen and Pinot are animals and pets, they are my best friends and it was just great to have them around. Have a great support system [in the] The last month or a few months have been everything for me. I relied on her more than I ever relied on my support system in my life – ever.”

During this difficult time in his life, Tartick continues his therapy as he has tried to cope with the varying feelings, including both “tidal waves of depression” and “times of feeling relieved and feeling good again.”

“And it’s just this back and forth of emotions. And what I’m learning is that grief is simply the entire process of honoring, respecting and loving what was, but at the same time also at the same level, if not more to honor and respect and have love for what is,” Tartick added.
