January 6 Sins Advocate for Kene Brian Lazo, Accused Child Abuser

A Virginia man arrested and charged with child molestation months after being arrested for trespassing on the US Capitol has pleaded guilty to his role in the January 6 siege.

Kene Brian Lazoof Norfolk, enthusiastically joined the crowd of Donald Trump Advocates of police brutality and flood the Capitol in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying Joe BidenAccording to prosecutors, won the November 2020 presidential election.

In a hearing before a United States District Judge Christopher Cooper on Monday, he pleaded guilty to protesting, marching and taking pictures in the Capitol building, a misdemeanor.

Lazo admitted to entering the Capitol building and spending about 30 minutes in the Rotunda and Senate rooms.

Armed with a helmet, goggles, other tactical gear and an American flag slung over his shoulder, Lazo chanted “our home!” when he entered the building, prosecutors allege. According to social media posts before the riot, he appeared ready for a fight.

“[I]His F shit is a fan [I] there will be some dead [sic] equipment and guns if it falls on it,” he commented on Facebook, according to the complaint.

The pictures and comments that Lazo posted on social media show that he is undoing. According to prosecutors, the helmet Lazo was wearing was labeled “Rodbustars,” the name of the construction company he and his wife owned, prompting investigators to hunt him down.

Lazo told Cooper on Thursday he’s no longer in his construction business “because of this matter,” which presumably means he’ll be joining on January 6.

According to images contained in the complaint, Lazo was carrying a small broom with a shield attached when he broke into the Capitol building.

“[I] He took a boo to the Capitol and literally swept the floor,” he wrote on Facebook on January 7, after posting multiple photos of himself inside the building.

Prosecutors said Lazo’s use of the term “bo bo” was a reference to the “Walis Tambo broom, commonly used in the Philippines”.

The guard that attaches to the brush includes the words “FALSE MEDIA = COUP”, “PANDEMIC HOAX = COUP” and “MAIL-IN FRAUD = COUP.”

In an example of clarity or irony, Lazo’s shield also states “EXCELLENT GROUPS” as part of “COUP”, a statement that turns out to be true, like a lot of Militia and white supremacist group performed well during the siege of 6 January.

Lazo said to Cooper, a Barack Obama appointee, that he immigrated from the Philippines with his family when he was about eight years old and became a naturalized citizen within a few years, although he cannot remember exactly when.

Lazo can be heard throughout the hearing sniffing and crying. At one point, shortly after the hearing began, Cooper asked Lazo if he wanted to take a few minutes to calm down and maybe grab a glass of water or a tissue.

“I’m fine, sir, I’m fine,” Lazo said.

Lazo was arrested on January 6 in May. Months later, he was arrested on considerably more serious charges: rape, aggravated sexual assault of a minor under the age of 13, assault and use of a firearm belonging to a family member, and other crimes, according to WVEC . local ABC branch.

At Monday’s hearing, Lazo .’s attorney Ubong Akpan, of the federal office of public protection, says the abuse case has either been resolved or is about to be resolved. The case was filed with the Juvenile and Family Relations District Court and information about the case was not immediately available.

Lazo faces up to six months in prison for marching and picnicking, along with a possible fine. Under the plea agreement, he will pay $500 in restitution.

Cooper fixed Lazo’s sentence on July 6.
