Jalen Hurts Should Be Booming in Philly

It’s been a wild extended week for the Washington Soccer Team, which featured 23 players on the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol. They are still in their teens as the number of teammates is still ruled out, but at least they can put up a lineup Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

This match was supposed to take place at 1 p.m. ET Sunday, but has been postponed to 6 p.m. ET tonight ET due to Washington’s roster situation. The Eagles are currently 6.5 points favorite against the Soccer Team for a total of 41.5.

With WynnBET not releasing props for WFT due to who will be from the reserve/COVID-19 roster, here are three of my favorite backing bets for tonight on the Philadelphia side. I also plan to use several of these for the same parlay game on this one.

Note that all available odds are through WynnBET Sportsbook:

Jalen hurt OVER 193.5 passes (-116)

Sure, Hurts hasn’t been able to beat this number in his last five games, but this is all about matchmaking and there may not be a better game for him to sit back and throw. like this week.

Washington has brutally prevented passes throughout the season, ranking 30th in the NFL for the number of passes allowed.

I know I’m going against the consensus numbers from the sportsbooks after opening around 200, but Nick Sirianni will have to adjust with the Washington front doing well and being dropped from the reserve/COVID roster . The running game is now much harder and I hope Hurts takes advantage of the open window in the lower court.

Miles Sanders BELOW 55.5 Javelin (-115)

Speaking of a tougher game, I’m really concerned that Washington’s top defense will have to play tonight. For as bad as the soccer team was against the pass, they’re still superior to the track, ranking 4th in the NFL in javelin and yards per play.

Sanders has played great in the past three games, but the Eagles still haven’t given him consistent carry. He had a season-high 24 with 120 goals against the Jets in early December, but in the previous game he was only nine times against the Giants in a 13-7 loss.

Between seven honest fronts and inconsistent numbers, I’m going to go find Sanders tonight.

DeVonta Smith OVER 47.5 Pickup Beaches (-116)

Like Hurts’ passes have passed, I’ll buy Smith’s chance to go burn the earth in Washington’s second defeat tonight.

If he can do this against Patrick Surtain, he can easily overwhelm William Jackson, Dany Johnson or whoever is on his side tonight.

What’s more, Washington’s defensive pass totals have been worse for five games in a row, and they haven’t been able to stop anyone in 3rd place either. That sounds like a recipe for a big game. by Smith tonight.
