Jalen Hurts questionable vs. Jets with ankle injury

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles began quarterback Jalen Hurts confidently declaring that he would be “ready to go“for Sunday’s game at the New York Jets even though he sprained his ankle in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants.
Hurts may have been overly optimistic at the time.
Every Kevin Patra of the NFL’s website, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni told reporters Friday he is taking a cautious approach regarding his signal callers.
“We still have time to make that decision. What is Jalen’s question,” explained Sirianni. “But we still have less than 48 hours for the body to heal, let’s see what’s going on, even a little bit more. So it’s not clear at the moment.”
The games showed obvious discomfort towards the end of the Big Blue loss and was restrained during midweek training sessions. Sirianni insists he’s “not going to put a guy who isn’t ready to go out” against the Jets.
The Gardner Minshew fallback will kick in if Hurts can’t play but won’t be able to make up for what Philadelphia will lose in the pounding attack against the Green Gang. Based on ESPN Statistically, Hurts leads the Eagles with 695 yards of javelin, 8 hits, 122 plunges, and 5.7 yards per take.
Reid Sinnett will likely become Philadelphia’s QB2 if Minshew starts at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
