Last week’s match between Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants is a physical one. Daniel Jones passed away with a sore neck and Jalen Hurts also passed away with a dislocated ankle.
Right now, it seems Hurts can still go on Sunday against the New York Jets. If he can’t play, the Eagles will be led by Gardner Minshew, who kicked in at fullback for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. Either way, bettors don’t see the Eagles as a favorite against the Jets.
Eagles desperately need a win first Jet plane to stay in the playoff race. Philadelphia won the last 3/4 matches before going to the Meadowlands to play the Giants. Now, they will play in the same stadium to try and tune the ship.
The failure numbers in the air have dwindled in the second half of this season. He hasn’t thrown at least 200 meters in the last five games, but he’s made up for it on the ground. He ran at least 50 yards in each of the last six. Losing him this week would be a serious blow to their offense, but last season’s Minshew proved he can make a pair that plays throughout the game.
With or without the Hurts, the Eagles will be fine. However, if he is not there, the 6.5 point difference will need some consideration.
