Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is nowhere near making his heavyweight debut, but knows he will be the division champion once he returns to the Octagon. Jones fought last at UFC247 in February 2020 when he suffered a unanimous decision win over him Dominic Reyes, a fight many thought Reyes won. Regardless, no one can deny Jones’ legacy as arguably the greatest mixed martial artist to ever step foot in the Octagon.

Jones is away from the Octagon for 2 years to completely change his physiology so he can put his skills to good use against the natural giants of his potential opponents. In due course, Jones has been in the news for good and bad reasons. Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame class of 2021 for his fight against him Alexander Gustavson back in 2013. That same night, Jones is arrested for domestic violence.

Now, the plea deal has gotten Jones out of legal trouble so far, and to up his game, Jones has also started training under the former two-division UFC champion Heinrich Cejudo. This comes after Jones was forced to leave his former and longtime training studio Jackson Wink MMA.

On Twitter, someone, presumably a fan, puts Jones in a situation where he comes back and wins the UFC championship belt again. Jones replied to the tweet “I’ve been imagining it for over two years now, I truly believe that winning this heavyweight championship is in my destiny. It has already been written. All I have to do now is stick my nose in the dirt and keep working, everything else will take care of itself.”

What do you think of Jones’ vision of becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion? How do you think Jones will fare against the current undisputed champion? Franz Ngannou? Jones has impressed former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champions in his career Daniel Cormier, Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida, Stephan Bonnar, Current Light Heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira, Ryan Bader, Shogun Rua, Rashad Evans, Alexander Gustaffson, Quinton Jackson and many more.
