“It all makes sense now,” Israel Adesanya meets Georges St-Pierre in Canada, making an intriguing reference to his favorite anime series
Israel Adesanya is still a fan despite being a fighter, so it’s a great honor to meet a legend of the past. Adesanya, the current UFC Middleweight Champion, has defended his title five times, with his most recent defense being against Jared Canonier by unanimous decision. Adesanya is expected to fight his kickboxing nemesis next Alex Pereira for his next and probably most difficult title defense.
Adesanya not only has a well-known martial arts record in kickboxing, boxing and MMA, but is currently the #3 P4P fighter in the official UFC rankings and one of the highest-paid athletes on the roster. Adesanya is also successful with his Youtube project through his channel titled FREE STYLEBENDER. Adesanya is a super technical striker who was born in Nigeria and fights in City Kickboxing at his gym from New Zealand.

Israel Adesanya says his respect for Georges St-Pierre “increased 100-fold” after the meeting.
Watch this clip below of Adesanya meeting the UFC Hall of Famer Georges Saint Pierre in Ontario, Canada. St-Pierre is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. St-Pierre holds the record for third most single-round title defenses in UFC history (9). St-Pierre also long held the record for most UFC wins. Both martial artists can be seen exchanging jokes and wisdom over dinner.
“My love, respect and admiration for this man increased a hundredfold after that night. Not many people in human existence can relate to my life, I’m glad I was able to connect with a past avatar.” Adesanya said of St-Pierre (via Twitter).

In another follow-up tweet, Adesanya said “It all makes sense to me. But I’ll share snippets with you.” and then posted a clip from the famous anime called “Avatar – The Last Airbender” where Aang is an avatar endowed with the ability to bend all 4 elements of life and connect with his previous avatar Roku.
