Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira booked for UFC 281 at MSG

The expected middleweight title defense between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira is scheduled for UFC 281

Alex Pereira had a mission upon his arrival in the ufcknock out Israel Adesanya in MMA to become UFC Middleweight Champion.

During an appearance at SportsCenter, Adesanya announced that a fight between himself and Pereira will take place on November 12 in the main event of UFC 281 in New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Adesanya and Pereira faced each other twice in kickboxing. Pereira won both times, defeating Adesanya by decision in April 2016 and by brutal KO in March 2017.

Both men competed at UFC 276 last month. Adesanya defeated Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision to retain his world championship.

Pereira, meanwhile, scored a KO over Sean Strickland in the first round just a few matches earlier – a fight that marked the former GLORY kickboxing champion’s UFC debut at two weights.
