MythForce, a roguelike action role-playing game openly inspired by ’80s-style Saturday morning cartoons, stands out for its vivid sword-and-wizard-style visuals. Beyond that, though, the game’s biggest draw might be its emphasis on four-player co-op. But how easy will it be to roam through all the skeleton-filled dungeons with your friends using different platforms?
Unfortunately, MythForce doesn’t support crossplay, but that’s because it’s currently only available on one platform. There’s still a chance this could change in the future, but at this point it’s not clear when or if that will happen. At this time, the game is only available exclusively on the Epic Games Store. In this regard, we currently have no information to suggest that the game would include cross-platform progression should it eventually release on consoles or the Steam Store.
For more details on the nature of the Epic Games exclusive deal, check out our guide on the subject, which explains why a MythForce Steam release doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. In short, the game’s publisher, Aspyr Media, simply lists it as an exclusive rather than a timed exclusive.
