It turned out not so.

Is Trey Wade related to Dwyane Wade?

Wade really caught the attention of the entire “his name is Wade and he wears the number 3 shirt” on Twitter.

During Arkansas’ upset win over Gonzaga, Dwayne yelled at Trey.

“Watching Arkansas vs Gonz and saw number 3 with Wade as dope!!!” Wade tweeted.

Like the others, Wade just watched Arkansas and made the connection. They are not related.

However, they are definitely connected now. Trey tweeted Dwayne after the game while the former Heat guard delivered a message to Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman.

“Coach Big Win! You are genius; you have Wade on your team,” Wade said.

Trey has played for UTEP, Wichita State and Arkansas during his career. As a veteran player, he assumes a leadership role in his current squad.

He had 15 points and seven rebounds ahead of Gonzaga as the Razorbacks knocked out the No. 1 seed to advance to the Elite Eight.

On Saturday, they faced Duke #2 with a spot in the Finals four up to grab.
