Irv Gotti claims he’s in love with Ashanti, reveals how he found out she was dating social media slams producer Nelly

Irv Gotti and Ashanti may be going through an uphill battle for the singer’s masters, but that didn’t stop the Murder Inc co-founder from admitting he was once “in love” with the “foolish” songbird.

In a teaser clip from his forthcoming appearance on Drink Champs alongside rapper Ja Rule, the music exec recalled finding out Ashanti was with rapper Nelly while watching a basketball game and the “injuries.” ‘ it caused.

There were reports that Irv and Ashanti were more than colleagues early in the singer’s career, although she never confirmed anything. At the time, Irv was married to Deb Lorenzo, but the couple divorced in 2013 after years of allegations of infidelity. The music producer has claimed Ashanti had nothing to do with their split.

“I’ll get past you [Ashanti] I want to be with Nelly,” he told host NORE, though the podcaster was quick to point out that it didn’t seem like he was completely over it. “Listen, when it happens, every man, it hurts [when] The chick you’re fucking in love with is this n-gga.”

“You want to hear how I found out?” Irv continued. “That was God wanting me to find out. I was at home. NBA package, I like watching sports. “Oh my god, what’s the commotion at the stadium?” ‘We just found out what the fuss is: Nelly walked in with Ashanti.'”

Social media was having a big day with followers, with many calling out Irv for speaking so passionately about the singer and having feelings for her while he was married, including one Twitter user who wrote: “Damn Ashanti hated Irv Gotti got dirty getting out with Nelly… Good thing he had his wife’s shoulder to cry on.”

The jokes continued to spread on Instagram, with many raising questions about Irv’s marriage. “But you were married?!?” asked another person. “I need him to hit the blunt 1 mo time…. ”

“Imagine your husband saying that,” wrote social media influencer Randi Rossario, before adding “whaaatttt.” A third person commented, “He should have kept that to himself.”
