Daniel Suarez’ teammate Ross Chastain had something to say about the Indy Cup race

He added that he hopes the outing will be great for Trackhouse Racing, his teammate Daniel Suarez with his road course experience and his Xfinity outing at the track will produce for him.
“I’m looking forward to the Indy Road course. A few years ago I wasn’t very good at street courses, but now I’ve learned so much about driving street courses that I’m looking forward to it. I’ll be driving the Xfinity car on Saturday, which will be good to get some replays before the big race on Sunday. My teammate Daniel Suárez is really good on street circuits. So if all goes well it should be a good weekend for Trackhouse‘ Ross Chastain said.
Ross Chastain went on to talk about his preparation for race day by participating in eating lots of watermelon, alluding to his heritage as a watermelon farmer. He acknowledged that he typically sits in the car for more than three hours, perhaps having in-car snacks and planning the full 38 race Sundays to sharpen up for most laps in the race.
“I eat a lot of watermelons (laughs). I don’t eat what I used to eat and I don’t always eat what I want to eat, but it does help in preparation for Sunday. I’ve been in the car for 3+ hours and want to be as sharp by lap 200 as I was by lap 2. On long, muggy races I might grab an in-car snack. I plan my life on about 38 Sundays a yearadded Ross Chastain.
