A Heathrow spokesman told 7NEWS.com.au that emergency services were “attending an incident involving two aircraft at the airport”.

“No injuries have been reported, but emergency services are on hand to ensure all passengers and crew are safe and well,” they said.

The collision happened between an Icelandair plane and a Koreanair plane, ITV News reported.

Passengers at Heathrow took to social media to share footage of the tarmac filled with emergency services.

“Is this normal for Heathrow?” asked a man on Twitter alongside a video of the scene.

“It must be 4 or 5 different emergency vehicles whose blue lights are flashing on the asphalt.”
