Imogen Reid joins Ellen Pompeo in the Untitled Orphan series on Hulu

Imogen Reid will star alongside Ellen Pompeo in the untitled orphan limited series on Hulu, announced August 3.
The series is inspired by the true story of a Midwestern couple who adopts a young girl with a rare form of dwarfism (Reid). But as they begin raising her alongside their three other children, they slowly begin to suspect that she may not be who she says she is. As they question their story, they themselves are faced with difficult questions about how far they are willing to go to defend themselves and protect their own narrative, and find themselves caught up in a battle that has taken place in the tabloids, in the courtroom and ultimately in her own marriage is settled.
Reid was educated at the Miskin Theater at North Kent College. Her work has been shown in regional theaters across the UK. Her onscreen credits include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the 2019 BBC adaptation of Les Miserables and the 2020 HBO series The Third Day.
She is repeated by Lisa Osmond from Oh So Small.
Hulu has given the series an eight-episode contract. Katie Robbins (“The Affair,” “The Last Tycoon”) is writing and executive producing, while Pompeo is executive producing under her production banner, Calamity Jane. Erin Levy (“Mad Men,” “Counterpart”) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Calamity Jane’s Laura Holstein will also executive produce, along with Mike Epps, Dan Spilo, Niles Kirchner and Andrew Stearn. ABC Signature is the studio, with Calamity Jane currently having an overall contract with the studio.
