“I’m coming” Jiri Prochazka urgently warns the newly crowned world light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill

It hasn’t even been a week since Jamahal Hill made history by defeating veteran Glover Teixeira to win the light heavyweight title at UFC 283, and the fighters have begun to call for a title fight. Former champion Jiri Prochazka has also begged for a shot at the title in his signature fashion, hinting at a comeback once the recovery period is complete.

In the video, the Czech star can be seen in the snow of a forest, where he says: “Congratulations, I’m coming. I’M COMING!!”

On the other hand, Jamahal Hill also spoke about his potential title-defending opponent after ending the mandatory medical suspension. Initially overwhelmed with emotion, “Sweet Dreams” burst into tears after receiving the belt. Many wanted to give the champion some time off as all his struggles over the years had finally come to fruition.

However, the newly crowned light heavyweight champion quickly made his division known at the post-fight press conference, where he spoke about potential opponents: “It’s no secret I’ve been calling Jiri for years, I’ve wanted Jiri for years, I want this fight. He said he might be back in six months or so. I would wait for that.”

How would Jiri Prochazka look against Jamahal Hill?

There are some similarities between Hill’s and Jiri’s fighting styles. However, they are very separate in the personality department. Jamahal has a happy and easygoing mentality, but he gets serious when it’s time to go. On the other hand, Prochazka always walks around cold and composed, almost like a shinobi, which earned him his current nickname “The Czech Samurai”.

Before his first title fight, Jiri fought Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes. Both are high ranked fighters but the Czech made short work of them by knocking them both out via KO/TKO in the 2nd round. Jamahal also had a similar record as all but two of his wins came via KO/TKO, earning him the nickname “Sweet Dreams”.

How quickly do you think the two champions will meet?
