Youtube gaming content creator Thomas “Sykkuno” explains why he mispronounces some names. This conversation started when Thomas accidentally called Grace Van Dien with the wrong name and chats started correcting him.

The streamer joins other streamers like Pokimane, xChocoBars, BrookAB, and Grace Van Dien to play some multiplayer games. The green hoody guy mistakenly mispronounced the name Grace, fans are trying to correct him. In response he said:

“Guys, guys, I don’t know if you guys are new to the stream, that’s how it usually goes. If I get someone’s name wrong, I call them that anyway. Unless they specifically ask me not to call them that, which is perfectly understandable, but usually people don’t mind.”

During the last live stream, Sykkuno met up with famous streamers to play some multiplayer games like Valorant and Fall Guys. When the 30-year-old streamer mispronounced Grace’s name while introducing himself, his fans immediately began correcting him.

On which ex-Twitch streamer admits he sometimes mistakenly takes false names, he explained: “We first met Carmella in GTA, we called her Churro and I think she liked that name. So I don’t know. I think, um… yes, usually; in fact, no one specifically asked to be called.”

The Las Vegas native clarifies his stance by saying that mispronouncing other people’s names usually reminds them of their first interaction. “They usually think it’s cool because it just reminds them of the way you guys met and stuff like that, and it’s a little bit more than, oh, you’ve got the right name, perfect something, you know?”

However, Sykkuno ended the conversation with his final words on the mispronounced situation “Usually it’s just, ‘Oh, that reminds me of the first time we met!’ and it’s a good memory. Well, most people actually seem to like that more than you know, getting a picture-perfect name or no picture per… you know what I mean. Nobody has ever objected.”
