Ice Cube admits it lost a $9million job after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine

O’Shea “Ice Cube” Jackson revealed during his recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast alongside fellow rappers E40 and Too Short that he lost a $9 million job offer because he refused to give the COVID-19 vaccine take.

The project Jackson was referring to was the movie Oh Hell No. Last October, news outlets reported that the former NWA rapper was forced to quit the job after refusing the producer’s vaccination mandate.

Jackson was set to star in Oh Hell No with comedian/actor Jack Black. Immediately after news of Jackson’s departure and why he left the project to go online, fans chimed in with mixed opinions.

Since then, production of “Oh Hell No” has been halted because the studio was unable to find a replacement for Jackson. On November 21, Jackson addressed the issue directly at the 1:10:55 mark of the interview when asked about future film projects.

He said: “Working, you know what I’m saying, frantic … I turned down a movie because I didn’t want to get the friggin’ hit. I turned down $9 million because I didn’t want to get the jab. F- that jab and f- y’all for trying to get me to get it. I don’t know how Hollywood feels about me right now.”

As the conversation continued, Jackson clarified that he did not leave the role, but was allegedly fired for not following studio protocol. The 53-year-old said: “I didn’t spin [$9 million] Low. These mothers wouldn’t give it to me because I wouldn’t get the shot. I didn’t turn it down. They just didn’t give it to me.”

Still, Jackson claims he’s working on a few projects and isn’t “worried about anything.” As Jackson’s comments made the rounds on social media, fans’ opinions of the ordeal were once again mixed.

Some have suggested that Jackson made his decision not to get the vaccine and therefore he is out of $9 million. At the same time, others praised the It Was a Good Day host for standing firm in his decision not to get vaccinated.

“His choice! He made his choice. Now he’s $9 million poorer.”

“He has every right to be skeptical of a vaccine that had little or no time and research to develop.”

“And the sky is blue; he made his choice (twitch emoji).”

“Ice Cube shouldn’t be blackmailed into doing something he doesn’t want to do to his body. He could be tested every day like others do. At the end of the day it should be his right and his #choice because it is his body.” Ice Cube admits it lost a $9million job after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine
