iCarly Revival Season 2 Cast and Character Guide: Who’s Playing Who?

That iCarly Revival returns to Paramount+ for its second season! The hit series takes us back into the life of influencer Carly Shay as we continue the events of season one.

If you didn’t know iCarly was originally a Nickelodeon series and aired from 2007 to 2012. The original series focused on Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), Freddi (Nathan Kress) and Sam (Jennette McCurdy) when the trio launched their own web series. The kids must cope with their teenage years while maintaining the now iconic show, iCarly.

A decade later we now have Carly and Freddie reboot the series that sees Cosgrove and Kress return to their roles as they both now have to face the harsh realities of adulthood. Season 1 of the new iCarly We’ve seen many characters, old and new, guest star, and now that Season 2 is premiering we thought it best to give you a simple breakdown of all the characters appearing this season. Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay

Miranda Cosgrove plays Carly Shay. Following the events of the original series, Carly decides to relaunch her web show iCarly. Carly is still caring and smart but can be a bit uptight and over the top at times. Now she has to deal with more adult issues compared to her teenage years. Her dating life is an important focus in this series. Before her starring role in the original iCarlyin which Miranda Cosgrove had roles School of Rock and Drake & Josh. She is also the voice of Margo in the Despicable Me Franchise.

Jerry Trainor as Spencer Shay

Carly’s older brother, Spencer Shay, is played by Jerry Trainer. Spencer is an accomplished artist and extremely wealthy. He’s brave and a little silly. Spencer acted as a parent figure for Carly in the original series and often looked after her, although he is a bit messy. Spencer and Carly are both adults on the new show, so their relationship is what you’d typically see of a brother-sister dynamic. He often does his own thing, although the two still get into trouble. In front iCarlyJerry Trainor had recurring roles in Drake & Josh and cross Jordan. Since then he has played TUFF puppy, Wendell & Vinnieand 2 broke girls.

Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson

Fredward “Freddie” Benson is one of Carly’s closest friends and the showrunner of iCarly. Played by Nathan Kress, Freddie is a recently divorced father and is still trying to adjust to dating again. He frequently interferes with Spencer’s plans while also trying to be an excellent parent for Millicent. The romantic tension between Freddie and Carly is palpable, but the two often ignore these feelings.

Nathan Kress has worked as an actor, director and voice actor in a number of films and shows. His voice acting credits include playing Wedge Antilles in Star Wars rebels​​​​​​.

Jaidyn Triplett as Millicent Mitchell

Millicent is Freddie’s stepdaughter and is played by her Jaidyn Triplet. Millicent is usually a supporting character, but she always makes her presence felt. She is intelligent, cheeky and incredibly smart. Millicent usually gives Freddie a hard time or plans to become a bigger internet star than Carly. Despite her youth, child actress Jaidyn Triplett has appeared in a number of shows. You may recognize them from their roles in The affair, family meetingand Binadequate.

Laci Mosley as Harper Bettencourt

Played by Laci Mosley, Harper is Carly’s roommate and best friend. She is a designer who recently landed a job with singer Double Dutch. Harper is confident, brave and very proud of what she does. She’s not nearly as uptight as Carly, so the two even out quite often. Laci Mosley is an actress, comedian, and podcaster best known for her podcast cheating goddess. Her acting achievements include Florida girl, single parentand The wedding year. Carmela Zumbado as Gwen

Carmela Zumbado plays Freddie’s ex-wife Gwen. She is also Millicent’s mother and a friend of Carly’s. The reasons for her and Freddie’s divorce are unknown, but they still have a decent relationship. She is also very close to Millicent, although she is often out of town. You may recognize Carmela Zumbado from her breakthrough role as Delilah Alves on the Netflix thriller series You. She also had roles in Crazy ex girlfriend and the movie Need speed.

Mary Scheer as Marisa Benson

Freddie’s mother, Marisa Benson (Maria Scheer), is curious and overprotective. After his divorce, Freddie and Millicent move in with Marisa and things are going as well as one would expect. She has apparently not changed at all since the original series. Mary Scheer has done extensive television work as an actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. She had gigs The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana, Good luck Charlieand 2 broke girls. Scheer has also worked as a voice actor on a number of projects including The penguins of Madagascar, family Guyand king of the hill.

Esther Povitsky as Brooke

Brooke is played Esther Povitsky and is Harper’s friend and former roommate. We don’t know too much other than her appearance in the Season 1 episode, “Snoqualmie Suites,” in which she is very flirtatious and extremely forgets where she parks her car. Brooke is a close friend of Harper’s and has a good relationship with Carly. She will surely be a recurring guest star in later seasons.

Esther Povitsky is probably best known for the 2018 series alone togetherwhich she helped create and in which she played the leading role. Povitsky also plays an important role in Hulu doll face as Izzy. You may have last seen her in 2021 Home, sweet, home alonethe sixth film in the Home alone Franchise.
