‘I want Bernando Silva to stay’ – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t want the Portuguese to join Barcelona » FirstSportz

pep Guardiola sees Bernardo Silvas future at Manchester City however, admits that everything could change if the player decides to join Barcelona. The LaLiga giants are said to be interested in City’s Portuguese midfielder and may be preparing an offer to bring him in Camp Nou.
Silva has spent five successful years at City, winning four Premier League titles in that time and is still in his prime at the age of 27, giving him reasons to be happy with his life.
However, following the off-season sales of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, it’s clear Man City are ready to strike deals if the timing and terms are right. “I felt comfortable working with Oleks, Gabriel and Raheem. They were three characters with incredible personalities who helped us achieve a lot.” said Guardiola.
“Of course I would love it if Bernardo could continue here. He was a special player for the dressing room here. I don’t know what will happen. If he stays it’s perfect and if he has to go it’s because football is like that, the clubs have an agreement and the player has wishes. If you are a soccer player [the career] is so short. If the club decides, it’s okay with me.”
“I definitely want Bernardo to stay. Finding players is difficult. I want Bernardo to stay here 100 per cent but at the same time if you want to go and have an offer and the clubs have an agreement it’s common sense what I said. That’s the reality. He’s an important player for me, Bernardo is special, but I don’t know what’s going to happen. As far as I know, Man City haven’t received an offer. Bernardo is training and doing really well, ready for Sunday.”

Pep Guardiola believes Bernardo Silva will stay at Manchester City, citing his fiancee and dog as the main reasons
Manchester City begin their Premier League title defense against West Ham on Sunday, with Erling Haaland expected to make his competitive debut. Silva is expected to play at the London Stadium as well barring a dramatic intervention from Barcelona.
Last season, the City striker had his best goal in the Premier League, scoring eight goals in 35 games after scoring just two goals last season. He and his girlfriend Ines Degener Tomaz, who have a dog named John, got engaged at the end of the campaign.
“I talk a lot with Bernardo” said Guardiola. “But also with everyone, maybe because I’m getting old and we know each other quite well. The relationship is very different now than it was three or four years ago. I know the feelings they have, the good moments and the bad moments.”
“I talk to them, but not, especially in this situation. If he needs to tell me something, he will tell me. I have no doubts about that, but we are not talking about this situation. He’s our player. I know he’s happy: he’s engaged, he has a beautiful dog, so he’s happy here, I know that, and what’s going to happen, will happen.”
