Eagle FC returned to the United States for Eagle 47 at FLX Arena in Miami, Florida. The fight was broadcast live on the FLX cast. The biggest fight of the card was the main event, a heavyweight bout between MMA legend Junior Dos Santos and Yorgan De Castro. However, the fight came to an uneventful end when the former UFC champion dislocated his shoulder.
De Castro started the fight with some great shots but Santos used his experience to land more meaningful hits. Junior showed why he’s one of the greatest heavyweights of all time when he changed his approach in the second round to injure Castro with some effective leg kicks. In the third round it was over.
Dos Santos was very effective in Round 3 when he pinned De Castro to the fence. A right hand that landed on the former champion resulted in a dislocation of his shoulder. Although Junior Dos Santos tried to continue the fight, Yorgan was quick to point out to the referee that his opponent’s shoulder was injured, leading to a stoppage. A fight aimed at Junior ended in Yorgan’s favor when he was awarded a win via TKO. Watch the moment below:
