‘Hypocritical’, ‘Irrational’: Tulsi Gabbard speaks out on choosing Biden SCOTUS for failing to identify ‘women’

Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii endorsed Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson, President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee following Wednesday’s testimony in which she declined to answer questions on sex determination.

When Jackson was asked by Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) if she could tell her the definition of “woman,” Jackson replied that she shouldn’t because “I’m not a biologist.” physics”.

Gabbard noted on Twitter: “For a Supreme Court committed to protecting the rights of all Americans, including women, every justice needs to understand that women can be different from men. “However, when asked to define the word ‘women’, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, a nominee for the Supreme Court, said, ‘I don’t know.

“It’s hypocritical and absurd in that she was nominated by President Biden in large part because she’s a woman,” Gabbard added.

During her confirmation hearing, Jackson was asked by Blackburn, “Can you provide a definition for the word ‘women’?”

“Can I provide a definition?” Jackson repeated.

“That’s right,” Blackburn said, and Jackson replied, “I can’t.”

“You can not?” Blackburn asked.

“No—in this context, I’m not a biologist,” laughs Jackson.

“So you believe the meaning of the word ‘women’ is so ambiguous and controversial that you can’t give me a definition?” Blackburn pressed.

“Senator, in my job as a judge, what I do is resolve disputes,” Jackson replied. “If there’s an argument about the definition, people argue and I look at the law and I decide, so – I don’t -“

Blackburn interrupted at the time to reply that “the fact that you can’t give me a straight answer about something as fundamental as what a woman is, underscores the dangers of the kind of progressive education that we’re hearing about.”
