Hugh Grant Oscar’s red carpet chat with Ashley Graham has been dubbed the ‘worst interview ever’

Hugh Grant and Ashley Graham shared a deeply awkward moment Sunday night ahead of the 95th Academy Awards in LA.
Before the Oscars ceremony, the American supermodel interviewed the English actor on the so-called “champagne carpet”.

And if there was a visual definition of the word cringe, this would be it.
The short, uncomfortable interview had viewers divided, with some loving Grant’s bitter, disinterested jokes and others finding him downright rude.
Apparently, the Love Actually actor didn’t really “feel” it at the big event.
“What do you like best about coming to the Oscars?” Graham asked innocently enough.
Grant said the event was “fascinating,” adding, “All of humanity is here. It’s Vanity Fair.”
While the Love Actually star appeared to be referring to the 19th-century novel by William Thackay, Graham thought he was referring to the Oscars after-party, which Vanity Fair, the magazine named after Thackeray’s book, was hosted.
“Oh, it’s ALL about Vanity Fair!” she said.
When asked who he was most excited to see win an award, he fumbled before replying, “Um, nobody in particular.”
And when Graham asked him what he was wearing, he said dryly, “Just my suit.”
Things got even more agonizing when Graham Grant asked what it was like to star in the movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
“Well, I’m hardly there. I’m in about three seconds,” he replied.
Graham tried her best to get more out of Grant and pushed on.
“Well you showed up, you had fun didn’t you?” She said.
“Er… almost,” Grant replied, before walking away and pulling a characteristic Hugh Grant grimace.
Online, some Twitter users thought Grant had answered Graham’s “crazy” questions with the brevity they deserved.
But others thought the actor was unnecessarily prickly and bullish.
“Ashley Graham deserves an honorary Oscar for coming to terms with Hugh Grant,” one person wrote.
“Don’t walk the carpet if you don’t want to talk about the actual event.”
“I wanted to crawl under a stack of chairs,” shrank another.
“That interview was the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen since the Oscar smack,” said another.
“Is Hugh Grant purposely trying to give the worst interview possible?”
But American comedian Josh Horowitz found the brief encounter entertaining.
“I need the Hugh Grant interview cut for me right now. That was art,” he wrote.
“Please tell me we all saw the Hugh Grant interview because lmao (laughing)” joked another.
An unimpressed viewer called Grant a “d***sack” for being so rude.
“Hugh if you don’t want to be there go home,” the Twitter user wrote.
“Why was Hugh Grant so rude?” wondered another.
“Shout out to Ashley for holding up the conversation and going through this.”
