How will the 2021 CFP rankings look compared to the BCS rankings

The final 2021 CFP standings are out, but how do they compare to what the BCS would have if that system were used to determine the College Soccer Round?

The College Football Playoff has replaced the BCS system used to determine which two teams will play for the national championship. The various rankings used to determine the BCS rankings were somewhat deserving of them but also had some serious flaws that led to the four-team playoffs. Now, it’s a four-team playoff that has some college football fans wanting to go back to the BCS system to determine teams because of conflicts with members of the playoff committee.

Another surprising factor is that the playoff only features four teams. That is why the expansion of the knockout stage is likely to come in the next few years. The only question is whether it will be an eight-team playoff or a 12-team playoff. But the playoff expansion will certainly come when the conference commissioners can finally agree on what everyone wants.

The BCS Rankings reflect what the College Football Playoff Committee already has

BCS for all of its fouls was mostly criticized for the 2nd vs 3rd team debate. 1st team is usually easy to identify, but there were a few close calls where team 3 was a worthy opponent for national championships, but teams like 2004 Auburn and 2011 Oklahoma State, in particular, never had a chance.

So what if the College Football Playoff removed members of the committee and instead relied on the BCS to determine the top four teams? Will BCS still have the same four teams as the committee? Is their order different? Can a team outside of the top 4 break the playoff party?

Thanks to, that information is used by us. Did you know BCS will have the same playoff grounds chosen by the playoff committee for all eight playoffs?

BCS will have the same 2021 College Football Qualifier field

BCS will have the same top four teams and the same top seven groupings.

Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Baylor round out the top seven for the BCS and represent the same top seven in the final CFP rankings.

Oklahoma is the biggest variation from BCS to CFP with a difference of five places from 11th in BCS and 16th in CFP.
