How to win with Horizon in Apex Legends – tips and strategies

Since Horizon’s release in Season 7 of Apex Legends, she has been making waves due to her unique movement abilities and powerful Ultimate. Horizon is the ultimate dueling legend, allowing players to take a different approach to combat and control every movement of opposing squads. While Horizon seems easy to play, she does have some unique quirks that allow her to bond well with virtually every other Legend in the game.

Anyone need a pick-me-up?

Horizon’s tactical ability, Gravity Lift, allows her to soar into the skies and instantly give her team higher ground in combat. That being said, Gravity Lift is one of the most versatile tactical skills in the game and is almost always useful. You can even use it offensively, throwing it at the feet of enemy Legends to scare them off and make them an easy target for you and your squad.

A popular use of the Gravity Lift is to quickly propel yourself into the air after taking damage in a fight to heal. This may sound risky, but it forces enemy Legends to choose between looking up and fighting you, or setting their eyes squarely on your squad. Combining this ability with Horizon’s passive Spacewalk allows her to perform some crazy movement techniques that rival Legends like Octane, so get creative.

Unleash my singularity.

Horizon Black Hole’s ultimate ability continues to be one of the strongest in the game due to its ability to stop the strongest thing in Apex Legends – movement. Whenever you’re fighting a troublesome team, throw the Ultimate Black Hole to force enemy squads to choose between repositioning or being sucked into the singularity.

While the obvious is to shoot the enemies it contains, stacking your Black Hole Ultimate with frag grenades, Arc Star and Thermite grenades will work wonders as enemies won’t be able to escape from them. Legends like Fuse and Gibraltar excel when played with a horizon, as they can deal immense damage in a focused spot.

Horizon is about getting a new take on the Apex games. Where most Legends have to climb and navigate to get higher, Horizon can simply push a button and get them and their squad where they need to be. A mix of confidence and communication is key to playing Horizon, especially when you’re fighting another Horizon player. How to win with Horizon in Apex Legends – tips and strategies
