Lost Judgment: The Kaito Files offers a total of 11 skills with a memory point as a requirement. That means you need to find specific interaction points scattered across Kamurocho before acquiring the skill associated with that memory. The Gutsy Grab is one such ability that we detail in our guide below on how to unlock it.
The necessary reminder point is at Game Center Charles, which is located on Park Boulevard towards the northernmost part of Kamurocho. It is almost directly opposite the locked gate entrance to the inaccessible area of the Kamurocho Hills. When there’s a taxi at the end of the street, you know you’re in the right place.
The save point is on the Game Center Charles sign outside the door. Activate Kaito’s primal senses by pressing down on the left analog stick. Use his primal eye to examine the shield, causing him to recall a time when he stood up for Higashi in that very arcade. It’s worth noting that this memory point didn’t appear for us until Chapter 4, after we received the final save warning. We’re not sure if this was a bug or intentional.
You can now purchase Gutsy Grab under the tank tree on the skills screen. Gutsy Grab costs 8,000 SP and allows Kaito to ignore oncoming damage. If you grab while taking damage, Kaito will just continue grabbing. It is similar in concept to the Resolute Counter.
