How to sell ammo in Fallout 76

As you wander the Appalachia wastelands in Fallout 76, you’ll no doubt come across a pile of ammo that you don’t need. Finally, most people tend to stick with one or two types of ammo throughout their gameplay, and don’t need a large amount of power cells or 10mm ammo to pick up. What exactly do you do with all that extra ammo? You could always sell it for a few extra caps.

How to sell ammo

If you were hoping to sell your ammo to one of the Wasteland vendors, you may be sad to learn that you can’t. The vendors only sell ammo, they don’t buy it from you. That doesn’t mean you can’t sell some of the ammo pile you’ve amassed. Instead of selling to the vendors, you sell to the other players.

In your camp you have the opportunity to build a vending machine. This way you can turn your camp into a shop for those who happen to come to visit. Once you’ve built a shop, fill it up with all the ammo you want to sell, set the price, and wait for the other players to come and buy the ammo.

What else to do with ammunition

If you’ve changed your mind about selling your ammo, you can easily convert it into a different type of ammo. This is done with the Ammo Converter, a special item you can get from Mortimer in Crater for 1,250 gold bars. Place one of these in your storage and you can convert your ammo into points. These points can then be spent on ammo that you actually use and don’t just leave lying around in your supply box.
