Commander Alexandria is an Agnus hero who can be recruited as early as chapter three. She is a powerful attacker hero with a strong area of effect that causes arts. The first time you encounter her will trigger a series of quests tied to unlocking her. This guide explains how to find and recruit Alexandria as a heroine in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Where to find Alexandria

Once you’re in chapter three, you can begin your hunt for Alexandria. Her recommended hero quest level is 40, which is quite a bit higher than all other quests up to this point in the game. It would be best if you wait until you’ve completed chapter three and finished the introductory sequence of chapter four.

In the Fornis region, head to the Dies Arch landmark pictured above. It’s in the center of this area, due west. Once you get close to the question mark on the map, a short cutscene will play. After playing it, you will be granted a heroic quest called “Her Reasons”.

After this quest starts, you can continue along the path until you find Colony Iota, or start hunting down their various party members in the open world.

After learning that Colony Iota and Alexandria have retreated further down the valley, you have two choices. They can either advance and use brute force to make their way into the colony, or hunt down their party members. It would be best if you don’t start this quest until your party is at least level 40 as this is a challenging quest with consistently high level enemies.

The best way to survive is to hunt down two of their key party members, Sequoia and Fili.

This attacker party member is a long-range sniper that can quickly deal damage to your attackers and healers. Look for them in the Great Cotte Falls in the Pentelas region.

This target is a powerful defender that can withstand extreme punishment. If you take them out early, the real fight will be a lot easier later on. Look for them near a ridge in the Dannagh Desert in the Fornis region.

After defeating these two objectives, you can return to the Dies Arch landmark where you first encountered Alexandria. Follow the valley west, staying on the path while fighting through numerous Agnus forces until you reach Colony Iota.

Once all enemy forces are defeated, find Alexandria and the remnants of her party near the Ferronis in the back of the base. I recommend a party of two defenders, two attackers, and two healers for the next two boss fights. Bring Valdi as a hero to round out your team.

In this fight, Alexandria only has to contend with two other party members. Start the encounter by targeting Chelle, the only healer her party has. Once Chelle is defeated, defeating the rest of the party is easy.

After your victory, a member of the Consul will appear and soon you will have to fight another Moebius form. Moebius E is a tough fight, but easy to counter if you know what to look for. During combat, Moebius E will use various melee attacks, a single rocket fire, and a massive fiery explosion.

The only real threat to your party is his fire attack. During combat, keep a close eye on who has aggro at any given time. Avoid standing near a character with aggro when you see Moebius preparing to jump into the air. If you have aggro, use the fast movement ability to avoid your party. This attack has the power to take down your party in one hit if you are too close together.

As his health decreases, Moebius E will continuously use this move. Keep a reasonable distance between your team and victory will soon follow. After defeating Moebius E, Alexandria will speak to you about the current predicament of the Iota colony. Follow her as she guides you around her base, and the final cutscene will begin.

After she tells the truth about Colony Iota, destroy the Flame Clock and complete the Her Reasons hero quest. Alexandria is a fantastic attacker-class hero, capable of dealing numerous critical hits quickly. She will reward Taion with the Incursor class once recruited into your party.
