How to play the Metal Gear games in chronological order

When it comes to a story that began in 1987, the Metal Gear franchise jumped back and forth in time throughout the many games that came out. Because of this, many players looking to start playing and do so in chronological order would likely be intimidated by the sheer size of the franchise. Fortunately for you we have made a list of all the games that make up Metal Gear, the year in which the events in them take place and the platform where you can download them to try them out.
The Metal Gear games in chronological order
The story of the Metal Gear saga spans 50 years and sees characters grow old, have children, raise their own children, and then die. So, of course, most of us would need a list to keep up with this long line.
It’s good to know that we don’t recommend playing the games in this order as you could potentially spoil different plots from the other games. However, this could still be a fun experience if you go through it a second time. On the other hand, we would recommend playing the Metal Gear games in the order in which they were released.
