Finn is the (supposedly) last human from the adventure time TV show and joined MultiVersus along with his big brother Jake the Dog. Finn plays the assassin role within the game and revolves around fast horizontal attacks (both on the ground and in the air), projectile denial, and maneuverability. Read on to find out how to best use Finn’s abilities in MultiVersus.
Finn’s key abilities and how to use them
Finn’s neutral game
Usually you want to use Finn’s horizontal advantage as much as possible. This applies to combat on the ground as well as in the air. To do this, combine his The sword stuff! (Attack + Side) 3-hit combo with a sequence of Let yourself be crowned! (Special + side) woven together. Note that the air variant is a 2 hit combo, then special. If you’re feeling pressured, add a dodge or two to this combo, switch sides, and then continue with the combo. You want to do this while setting up one of your stronger Knockout games.
High five knockout
High five, dude! (Neutral Special) is a very telegraphic attack, especially if you want to charge it up as much as possible before unleashing it on the enemy. However, if you’re quick enough, you can quickly tap it in the middle of a brawl to knock someone away. For the more devastating version – the one you would charge up – look for an opportunity when an enemy falls at you from the air to hurl them away. Another good chance of knocking someone out comes when the enemy uses a static charge of their own, such as. B. Shaggy’s Zoinks! Or Wonder Woman’s Amazon scream.
Most players make the mistake of overusing Finns Backpack Attack! (Special + Up) and thought it was just like Taz’s Taz-nado. Instead of warning opponents about it, use it sparingly and throw it at them in the middle of a brawl. Note that you will need some breathing space to start, as it can be interrupted. Then give them a full load of your backpack and watch them fly! Also, and this may be anecdotal, it seems that the final hit of this attack always knocks the enemy toward the nearest ledge. The air version is much more situational, but you can use it when an opportunity arises to get someone to the top ringout.
Press X to load Quicksave
This is a life-saving tip that very few Finns seem to use. Use throw stones (Special + Down in the Air) with some coins – which you should always have with you – leaves a gem item on the ground. This gem can serve as your “save location” to use when you are in danger of being knocked out and have no other options. So, as a last resort, you can try to get Finn to safety with any version of Special + Side.

Finn wants to use mobility and attack/damage advantages as much as possible. For example his own wildcat bat and Speed Force Assist are great for stacking with an ally. A super powerful perk that combines great with Finn’s gear is Percussive cloutwhich is available to Arya and Garnet by default, but other characters can bring it to Finn as well.
For its characteristic advantage, On the House! is a good all-around survival option that doesn’t require the micromanagement aspect of Go bankrupt.
