The International A Dirt Driving: Expert Test (IA-3) in Gran Turismo 7 is pretty hard to pass even if you’re playing version 1.06, let alone silver or gold. This is due to a bug accidentally introduced in update 1.06 that puts cars with completely wrong tires in some license tests, missions and track experiences. If you start the IA-3 license test with the display settings set to “Show all”, you will see RH tires (Racing Hard) on the bottom left of your screen. Racing tires do not belong on a Ford Focus Gr. B rally car (or any other rally car), especially not when driving on a dirt track. These should be D (dirt) tires. she became in version 1.05 of GT7, and they will be back once Polyphony Digital fixes the problem.

For now, the RH tires offer just enough grip to pass this license test. Our first tip is to ease off after takeoff once you reach the crest, this will drastically reduce the chance of losing control of your car if it bounces. Next, brake hard when you pass the beginning of the orange barriers, release the brakes just before you reach the corner, and use your handbrake (circle button) to steer the car sharply into the corner. Do the same at every corner on this section of Fisherman’s Ranch: use your regular brakes to slow down before the corner, then use your handbrake to slide through the apex. Don’t get too excited when exiting the last corner. It’ll feel like you can go flat out, but the road down here is bumpy and sloping, greatly reducing your grip. So control your acceleration to make sure you don’t slide off the right side of the track.
