In her latest clip, the TikTok star says there are five things she does every winter.
“The first thing I do to keep sweaters from falling out is put them in the freezer for an hour,” Chantel said in her video.
“This helps shrink the excess fibers.”
If you want to try this trick, experts recommend doing it for at least an hour.
Others recommend doing the same with your tights and jeans to extend their durability.
Chantel’s second trick is to remove scuff marks from your white sneakers.
“Gently apply a small amount of toothpaste to your runners to instantly remove scuff marks,” she explained.
Toothpaste is a well-known cleaning product used to clean everything from cars to carpet stains to your mirrors.
Chantel had another shoe shine trick: She uses a “small amount of beeswax to waterproof leather shoes and boots.”
Beeswax is not water-soluble and therefore prevents moisture from penetrating the shoe leather.
Chantel’s fourth tip was new black clothes.
“Add 1/4 cup of salt to your first black wash to set the color and prevent fading,” Chantel said.
Finally, she recommended using ice cubes in the dryer to prevent clothes from wrinkling without having to iron them.
Thousands who saw the video were quick to thank the mother-of-two for sharing her wisdom with us.
“I didn’t know that about clothes that pilled. Great tip my whole cashmere is covered in pills,” wrote one commenter.
“Love this thanks,” added another.
