How to make a chip deke in NHL 23

One of the more useful dekes that a player can use in NHL 23 is the chip deke. This motion can be used by a puck carrier to chip the puck past a defender, which in turn can allow the owner to move past and around the other man. If you’re constantly stuck in the neutral zone by opposing defenders, the Chip-Deke should come in handy. But how do you chip deke in NHL 23? Let’s take a look at the controls.

How to make a chip deke in NHL 23
To make a Chip Deke you need to press a combination of buttons. For Xbox platforms, press LB + RT. On PlayStation, select L1 + R1. Those are all the controls required for a chip deke.
We should also note that in some cases, making sure the puck is square on the forehand can help. For right-handed users, move either the right stick (for Xbox) or the right analog stick (for PlayStation) to the right. For left-handers, move one of the sticks to the left. You can do the chip-deke without this check, but if you want to make sure it’s done with the puck on your forehand, this extra step can help.
