Early on in Kirby and the Forgotten Land you will encounter a ruined Waddle Dee Town. After defeating some enemies and rescuing your new friend Elfilin, embark on an adventure to rescue all of the Waddle Dees. As previously mentioned, any Waddle Dee you find and free will return to town to help with repairs – including those found from completing stage missions. Once you’ve collected enough Waddle Dees, you can have certain buildings repaired. These repairs are costly, with beginner buildings costing 50 Waddle Dees and later ones costing much more.
It is recommended to take the time to search each stage and free each Waddle Dee so that you can level up Waddle Dee Town. This can mean finding tulips and helping them bloom, or simply exploring the stage and finding secret areas where Waddle Dees lie in cages. However, once you’ve had enough, take the time to return to town to begin building repairs.
