How to get the crafted rifle blueprints in Fallout 76
When you begin your journey into the Appalachia wastes in Fallout 76, you didn’t know about the powerful weapons you’re about to get your hands on. There are guns that fire electricity, those that fire radiation-coated slugs, and then there are those that simply fire bullets. The Handcrafted Rifle might be a fairly standard weapon compared to some of the other powerful weapons in the game, but it’s one of the most powerful. Make sure you get your hands on the plans for this before it’s too late.
How to get the Crafted Rifle plans
You can get the blueprints for handcrafted rifles from many different sources. Unfortunately none of the sources are guaranteed drops and it may take you a while to find the blueprints for the weapon. Check the following areas for the plans:
- Containers in Toxic Valley
- The plans can appear in different areas where plans appear in Toxic Valley
- Can be a reward in the Daily Ops mission for players between level 15 and 49
- Has a 10% chance of being awarded by the Patrol Duty mission
Aside from finding the weapon plans, you can also buy them from a few different vendors around the map. You cannot purchase the weapon plans until you are at least level 15. The best providers for the plans are the Free States and Shopping Mall providers at Whitespring Resort. You can also purchase the plans from the merchant in Watoga Station. Remember that the crafted rifle blueprints are labeled as crafted weapon blueprints.

How to craft the handcrafted rifle
Like other weapons in the game, the Handcrafted Rifle can be crafted at any Weapons Workbench in the Wasteland. You will need the following materials to craft the Handcrafted Rifle:
- 8 glue
- 7 copper
- 9 gears
- 7 oil
- 13 screws
- 15 sources
- 15 steel
- 12 wood
Remember that these are the crafting materials needed to craft the weapon at the highest level. You can start crafting rifles at level 15. As with most weapons you craft in the game, you can also get the crafted rifle mods by scrapping rifles you’ve built.
