How to get the Blighted Bone in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Infested Bone in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a unique material. It will drop in multiple places, but you must reach a certain point in the Sunbreak campaign to find it. You have little chance of getting out before reaching this point and you must seek it by completing certain quests. In this guide we will tell you how to get Blighted Bones in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

Where to find the Blighted Bone

You can only find Afflicted Bone by unlocking Anomaly quests. These will appear after defeating Gaismagorm, and the Qurio have moved on to a new host and are attempting to feed on the many other monsters found in the game. When you first get anomaly quests, you’ll need to find a handful of smaller monsters, but as you progress through the story and unlock more difficult master rank quests, these monsters will get bigger and you’ll have to deal with more dangerous threats.

You can only get Blighted Bones by carving them from the monster. There is no objective, capture, or drop material reward. You can only break part of a creature and then carve it out of its body after killing it. Regardless, these monsters cannot be captured, so you must kill them.

The more anomaly quests you accept and the higher you reach Master rank, the more chances you have of earning Blighted Bones. It’s a material you won’t find on the standard monsters, so make sure you accept anomaly quests if you need these materials for weapons or armor in the Forge.
