How to get merciless upgrades in V Rising

V Rising features a wealth of weapons and gear that you must use in order to survive. The weapons in the game are divided into ascending tiers, and you must work your way through them to get the best one. In addition, you can get Merciless Upgrades, which are the upgraded version of the game’s already existing weapons and gear.

There are two ways to gain access to the Merciless upgrades, although both are RNG based. The first method involves researching your castle, while the second method revolves around defeating high-level mobs.

Each research you perform at the research table in your castle yields a new recipe, and there is a chance that this is a recipe for one of the Merciless Copper Weapons or Merciless Nightstalker Armor. However, each research will cost you 50 paper, so make sure you have enough in your supply.

Once you’ve unlocked the Study, you can also use it to research new recipes. This will give you higher quality equipment and weapons compared to the research table. Study allows you to obtain merciless iron weapons and merciless hollowfang armor, which are of higher quality than their copper and nightstalker counterparts. It’s worth noting that you need 75 scrolls instead of 50 papers to research the study.

Alternatively, you can also defeat mob bosses as there is a chance they will reward you with a merciless upgrade recipe as a potential drop. While this is again RNG dependent, Bandit Armory in Western Farbane Woods is a great place to farm mobs for upgrades. That means you can farm mobs in any early stage region if you’re looking for weaker enemies. How to get merciless upgrades in V Rising
