How to get Meramon in Digimon Survive
Meramon is one of the first champion-level monsters you’re likely to encounter in Digimon Survive, around the same time that you can recruit Fangmon, Deltamon, and Dokugumon. What sets Meramon apart from these other early-game champions is its high ranged elemental damage (fire in this case) as well as its solid mobility, including a Vertical Move stat of 2. Be careful though, as Meramon is (of course) very weak against water damage.

How to befriend Meramon
To befriend Meramon, you must face one in battle and successfully negotiate with him. Your first opportunity to do this is in Chapter 3 of the story in the Free Battle area outside of school. Meramon’s questions during negotiations seem to indicate he’s a bit of a rascal – rude but not overly mean. The best answers available are usually the ones in which you show your admiration for Meramon. However, if you’d rather not worry about guesswork, the best answers to each question are as follows:

Once you’ve successfully answered enough of Meramon’s questions, you’ll have a choice of either asking for items or befriending the monster. Deciding to befriend him doesn’t guarantee success, but since Meramon is in a free-battle zone, you can try as many times as you like.
